This year at the computer expo organized in Taipei, a Chinese accessory retailer was seen dealing with Apple in lightning audio adapter. This piece of information has led the tech journalist of renowned Japanese site Mac Otakara to believe that in the next generation iPhone, a lightning adapter would be used in place of a standard 3.5mm audio jack which is used in almost all smartphones.
The ear plugs will be provided with adapter and it can be used in iPhone 7 as well as other gadgets. Thus there will be no need to designing a special pair of lighting ear plugs thus saving a lot of time as well as resources. The 3.5mm jack will be removed from the next generation iPhone’s design and in place of it an additional speaker would be installed in the phone. But it will be a monaural design. The loudspeakers would be enclosed by grilles that resemble the design of a porthole.
However, there are also rumors that Apple is going to continue with its traditional 3.5mm headphone jack design.
The latest rumor about iPhone 7 is that it is going to come with a storage capacity of 256GB for all the models. This flagship gadget is expected to arrive in fall.
